I wanted to see what they did to Thor since I stopped reading it some 40 years ago. The quality of the artwork is excellent.Much better than the 15 cent copy I used to read.
The story is blech, but they had to do something to renew interest in a very old comic book. Since I grew out of my teens
many decades ago, I will not be going back to Comics. They know that. So maybe this will be the thing they need for a new generation of kids.

For two years, Thor comics have been featuring Jason Aaron`s Mary Sued version of longtime supporting character Jane Foster. So now after ignoring fans for two years, Thor is now back and equally good news, Beta Ray Bill is alive again! Pick it up for the art and to see what Thor has been up to since Secret Wars. It won't change your life, but it's not insulting like the current main Thor series.
I understand why they made a female Thor but I've been a long reader of comics. I prefer the history. This is the character I want to read about.
Have been a long time Dan of Thor and I continue to read the series with Jane Foster as Thor. But it is great to see the bearded one back and ready to raise hell!!! Can't wait to see what the ongoing issues will bring.
I mean it was pretty great, I've never really liked a Thor series but, this one was pretty neat I guess.
So refreshing to see the Odinson without his hammer. I get to see the soul within. So much more satisfying to read this kind of story. A story that cannot be solved by the swing of an all powerful hammer. Well done.
