I enjoyed this read which was my first by the author. Joseph had a lot of issues that were caused by his own mother. She was trifling for what she did and that was something no child should ever have to experience. I was laughing every time he watched tv though. Poor Sophia! She couldn't catch a break either. Who knew both of their childhoods would led them down those paths. Her stepmother was wrong and I couldn't believe she would go as far as she did because she felt some type of way. Joseph's upbringing explained his relationship with his girl and kids even though it wasn't right. Man Philip was out for blood but he shouldn't have led Shalom on knowing what his plans were. They experienced a major lost but maybe it's time for Joseph to get right. Hopefully more will be revealed in part 2. Who is Rufus that Joanna was talking about, what led Joanna to do the things she did, what will be the outcome for Philip for hurting Joseph's family, and will Joseph see everything as a sign to get right or choose to get revenge?!Product details

I enjoyed this this book it was a good read. The scriptures seem to come to life.Joseph was something else.
Very good book until the ending which was very confusing and left me as the reader dumbfounded. However cant wait to read Part 2 if there will be one. Need closure. The book was written very well.
This story was really good it held my attention from the beginning to the ending. I must say that this was definitely worth reading and I loved the originally of the storyline.Angela Moore,you did an awesome job on this story and I can't wait to reads more. Reading this book I thought I was at the movies because everything seem so real and live.I would recommend this book to others.
I'm glad I introduced this book to our local Indianapolis book club Babes That Read. The author is actually a member, so I'm gonna pick her brain after I read the series, and guess what, she just made it a play. I'm so excited to see it come to light.
This kinda confused me because it was switching from person to person and going back to the past and maybe it needed to explain the point of the story better to understand clearly why the brothers were shot or maybe I'm missing something
Although this book had some typos and a few times hard to follow I enjoyed the drama line of the book. I would recommend this book to others to read and I am looking forward to book two. You go girl do yo' thang.
Engrossed by Joseph story and even more so by Joanna' s story. The life of this young girl could be ANY one of our life stories which is probably why I relate to Joanna. Angela did a fantastic character development of everyone in this book. Her style of writing took me RIGHT there! Can't wait for her next book in the series. Can't wait to discover more about Sophia ( Joseph's) book! I think their is a little of both Joanna AND Sohia in many of us ...
